Progressive Field

Progressive Field is the home ballpark for the Cleveland Guardians of Major League Baseball. The team, formerly known as the Cleveland Indians, has played at this downtown Ohio stadium since it first opened. The stadium is a central part of the city's sports culture.

The stadium officially opened its doors in 1994. It was originally named Jacobs Field (often affectionately called "The Jake") before the naming rights were purchased by the Progressive Corporation in 2008. Its opening marked a new era of retro-style, downtown baseball stadiums in the MLB.
