Psychonauts 2

The platform game was created by Double Fine Productions and published by Xbox Game Studios. It was a long-awaited sequel, initially announced way back in 2015 before finally launching in August 2021.

The game launched across multiple platforms, including PlayStation 4, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. It was also added directly to Xbox Game Pass on day one, with subsequent releases on Mac and Linux following later.

Players control Razputin Aquato, a young acrobat with psychic powers who explores the mental worlds of other characters. The gameplay combines classic 3D platforming, puzzle-solving, and combat using unique psychic abilities like telekinesis and pyrokinesis.

While Psychonauts 2 does an excellent job of recapping the events of the original game, playing the first title adds valuable context. The narrative heavily relies on established character relationships and the ongoing lore of the Psychonauts organization.
