The raspberry crown borer, Pennisetia marginata, is a clearwing moth in the family Sesiidae and a pest of raspberry, blackberry, dewberry and related Rubus plants. Thaddeus William Harris described the species in 1841. Its larvae develop over a two-year life cycle and tunnel through the plant crown and canes, where their feeding can girdle stems and weaken berry plants. The species is relevant to growers managing commercial or garden berry plantings.
