RealPlayer was once a dominant media player in the early days of the internet, known for its proprietary streaming formats. Today, it is widely considered bloatware, often bundled with unnecessary services and featuring an intrusive, ad-heavy interface. It provides very little value to the modern desktop user, as almost all of its functions are handled better by native OS tools or modern, lightweight players.
