Riccardo Paletti (1958–1982) was an Italian racing driver who competed for the Osella team in the 1982 Formula One season. He was killed at that year's Canadian Grand Prix at Montreal's Circuit Gilles Villeneuve when his car struck Didier Pironi's stalled Ferrari just after the start; he was 23 years old. No driver died in a Formula One race again for more than a decade afterward.
