Riverside Stadium is a football stadium in Middlesbrough, England, and the home ground of Middlesbrough Football Club. It opened in August 1995 after the club left Ayresome Park, the ground it had used for much of the twentieth century. The stadium is located beside the River Tees and was developed as part of the regeneration of the former Middlesbrough dock area. Its primary use is association football, with additional facilities for spectators and events.
