Roy Cohn was an American lawyer and political operator who first became nationally known as a prosecutor in the 1951 espionage case against Julius and Ethel Rosenberg. He later served as chief counsel to Senator Joseph McCarthy's Senate investigations during the Red Scare, including the Army-McCarthy hearings. In private practice in New York, Cohn represented clients such as Donald Trump and became a mentor and adviser to him before Cohn's death in 1986.
