Rubinacci

Rubinacci is an Italian luxury menswear brand headquartered in Naples, established in the city in 1957. Their flagship tailor shop is famously located in the historic Palazzo Filangieri, embodying the rich sartorial history of the region.

"Spalla camicia" refers to a signature Neapolitan tailoring technique where the jacket's sleeve is set with gathers, mimicking a dress shirt. Rubinacci is renowned for this unstructured, lightweight design, which offers a relaxed yet highly elegant drape compared to rigid traditional tailoring.

While primarily celebrated for its bespoke tailoring services, Rubinacci also produces a highly sought-after ready-to-wear collection. This line includes their signature tailored trousers, unstructured sport coats, and distinctive printed silk ties available at luxury boutiques globally.

The house was originally founded by Gennaro Rubinacci in 1932, initially calling it the "Casa Rubinacci" English House because he sourced fine fabrics from London. His son, Mariano Rubinacci, took over the family business in the late 1950s and established its current legendary status.
