description Rudolf Uhlenhaut Overview

Rudolf Uhlenhaut (1906-1989) was an engineer born in London to German parents who worked as a Mercedes-Benz racing-car designer. He contributed to cars including the W125 and W154 and later developed the 300 SLR racing sports car. The 300 SLR Uhlenhaut Coupé was a two-seat road-going prototype based on that racing design; two examples were built, and the model was not a series-production vehicle.
