Saltoro Kangri is a mountain in the Karakoram range, located in the Saltoro Mountains of Pakistan-administered Kashmir. At 7,742 meters (25,400 feet), it is the highest peak of the Saltoro Range. The mountain lies near the Siachen Glacier, a region subject to a long-standing territorial dispute between India and Pakistan. The first ascent of Saltoro Kangri was achieved in 1962 by a joint Japanese-Pakistani expedition.
The peak's location in a militarily sensitive area has limited climbing activity.
