help Samsung JS9500 SUHD FAQ
Is the Samsung JS9500 a QLED television?
Samsung called it an SUHD TV when it launched in 2015. It uses a 10-bit nano-crystal-enhanced LCD panel, an early form of the quantum-dot technology Samsung later marketed under the QLED name.
Does the JS9500 support HDR10+?
No. HDR10+ was introduced after this 2015 model, so the JS9500 should not be purchased for modern HDR10+ support.
Why does the JS9500 use a separate One Connect box?
Its HDMI inputs and much of its processing hardware are housed in Samsung’s external One Connect box. A used JS9500 without the correct box and proprietary cable is therefore incomplete.
