The S90F supports HDR10+ but not Dolby Vision, consistent with Samsung's long-standing policy across its television lineup. This means Dolby Vision-encoded content from services like Netflix will fall back to standard HDR10 playback on this display.

Each of the S90F's roughly 8.3 million self-emitting OLED pixels can switch off completely at the individual pixel level, producing true zero-nit blacks. Unlike LCD panels that rely on a backlight zone dimming system, there is no light bleed in dark scenes, which is especially visible in letterboxed or space-set content.
