Samurai Cop is a 1991 American direct-to-video action film written, directed, and co-produced by Amir Shervan. The story follows Joe Marshall, a San Diego police officer trained in Japan, who is sent to Los Angeles to confront a Japanese gang involved in the cocaine trade. Mathew Karedas, credited as Matt Hannon, plays Marshall, with Robert Z'Dar and Mark Frazer in supporting roles; the film later developed a cult following.
