Screen Chess

description Screen Chess Overview

Screen chess, also known as Kriegspiel, is a chess variant in which the players cannot see each other's pieces because a screen or divider separates the boards. A referee records legal moves and reports information such as captures, checks, and attempted illegal moves. The game is intended for players who enjoy deduction, uncertainty, and incomplete information rather than ordinary visual calculation.
