Shadow Creek Golf Course

Shadow Creek was designed by Tom Fazio and opened in 1990 as the centerpiece of Steve Wynn's vision to create a world-class golf experience in the Nevada desert. Fazio's design transformed the barren Mojave Desert landscape into a lush, tree-lined course with dramatic water features, streams, and elevation changes that bear no resemblance to the surrounding terrain.

Shadow Creek is accessible only to guests staying at MGM Resorts properties on the Las Vegas Strip, who can book tee times as part of their hotel package. The course is not open to unaffiliated walk-up play, and even MGM guests must reserve well in advance due to limited daily tee times.

Shadow Creek has one of the highest green fees in the world, reportedly in the range of $1,000 or more per round, which includes a private limousine transfer from the hotel and a personal caddie. The pricing reflects the course's exclusivity, the level of personalized service, and the extensive maintenance required to sustain a lush course in the Mojave Desert.

Shadow Creek hosted the PGA Tour's CJ Cup in 2020, when the tournament was relocated from South Korea to Las Vegas due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The event brought televised tournament coverage to a course that had previously been known primarily as an ultra-exclusive destination for high-rolling casino guests and celebrities.
