The Shokz OpenRun Pro 2 offers a solid battery life of up to 10 hours of continuous playback on a single charge. The earphones also support quick charging, allowing you to get roughly an hour and a half of listening time from just a five-minute charge. This makes them highly reliable for long endurance training and outdoor runs.

The OpenRun Pro 2 carries an IP55 rating, meaning they are highly resistant to sweat, dust, and light rain. This level of water resistance makes them perfectly suited for high-intensity outdoor workouts and marathon training. However, they are not fully waterproof and should not be submerged in water or worn while swimming.

While bone conduction technology inherently allows air to enter the ear, Shokz has engineered the OpenRun Pro 2 with PitchShield technology to minimize sound leakage. At moderate volume levels, people standing right next to you will likely not hear your audio. If you crank the volume to maximum, some slight bleed may occur, but it is noticeably better than previous models.

The OpenRun Pro 2 utilizes dual drivers (a bone conduction unit and an air conduction unit) to significantly improve audio clarity and bass response compared to older bone conduction models. While it still cannot completely match the immersive noise isolation of in-ear monitors like AirPods Pro, it provides a rich listening experience. The added bass makes music sound much fuller while keeping you aware of your surroundings.
