Spektr-R was a Russian space radio telescope launched on 18 July 2011 as the centerpiece of the RadioAstron mission. It carried a 10-meter deployable antenna and worked with ground-based observatories to form an Earth-space very long baseline interferometry (VLBI) network, achieving baselines up to about 350,000 km. Operated by the Astro Space Center of the Lebedev Physical Institute, the mission studied active galactic nuclei, pulsars, and masers until contact was lost in 2019.
