Spider-Man (2018)

Marvel's Spider-Man is a 2018 action-adventure game developed by Insomniac Games. It was published by Sony Interactive Entertainment specifically for the PlayStation 4 console. Insomniac later went on to develop a sequel for the PlayStation 5.

The game features an original narrative where players attempt to stop a criminal empire led by Mister Negative. The Sinister Six, including villains like Doctor Octopus, Electro, and Vulture, also play major roles in the story. The plot heavily explores Peter Parker's relationship with Otto Octavius.

While you primarily play as Peter Parker, Miles Morales is introduced in the story as a friend and eventually gains spider-powers near the end of the game. This sets up the standalone spin-off game, "Spider-Man: Miles Morales." However, you do not play as Miles in his suit during the base 2018 game.

The game features a massive wardrobe of unlockable suits inspired by Spider-Man's comic book and movie history. Players can craft these suits using Backpack Tokens, Crime Tokens, and Research Tokens gathered throughout New York City. Many suits provide unique, unlockable gameplay perks.
