Spor - Caligo

Spor is the drum and bass alias of Jon Gooch, a British electronic music producer who is also widely known by his electro house alias, Feed Me. Gooch established himself in the mid-2000s DnB scene through releases on labels like Lifted Music before expanding into other genres under the Feed Me name.

Spor's Caligo was released in 2015 on Lifted Music, a drum and bass label that had been a key outlet for Spor's earlier EPs and singles. The album served as Gooch's first full-length release under the Spor name, despite having been active in DnB for nearly a decade prior.

Caligo marked Spor's return to drum and bass after several years focused on the Feed Me project, which had released music on labels like mau5trap and Deadmau5's imprint. The album was recognized as a return to the heavier, highly technical DnB style that originally established Gooch's reputation in the mid-2000s.

Caligo is widely regarded as a culmination of Spor's technical DnB production style, featuring the intricate breakbeats, aggressive bass design, and complex sound design that characterized his earlier releases on Lifted Music and Titanium Hertz. The album's full-length format allowed Gooch to explore a wider range of tempos and moods than his previous EP-length releases had permitted.
