The spotted grass frog, Limnodynastes tasmaniensis, is an Australian frog also known as the spotted marsh frog. It occurs across much of eastern Australia, including Tasmania, and is associated with grassland, wetlands, flooded paddocks, ponds, dams, and roadside ditches. Adults have a brown, grey-brown, or olive back marked by darker patches, while breeding takes place in still or slow-moving freshwater where the species produces floating foamy egg masses.
