description St. Beatus Caves Overview

The St. Beatus Caves are a limestone cave complex and show cave above the northern shore of Lake Thun near Interlaken, Switzerland. The accessible passages, underground water, and cave formations are presented through a visitor route and a museum devoted to cave exploration. Their name comes from the legend of Saint Beatus, who was said to have lived in the area and driven out a dragon.
