St. Florian Abbey is an Augustinian canonry in Upper Austria, situated near Linz on a site traditionally associated with the martyrdom of Saint Florian around 304 AD. A religious community has existed on the site since at least the Carolingian period, with Augustinian canons established there by the 11th century. The present Baroque complex was largely designed by architect Jakob Prandtauer between 1686 and 1750.
Composer Anton Bruckner served as organist there from 1856 to 1868 and is buried beneath the church's organ, and the abbey library contains over 150,000 volumes.
