Star Trek: Enterprise

Enterprise is set in the 22nd century, specifically a century before the events of Star Trek: The Original Series. The show focuses on the early adventures of Earth's first warp-capable starship, the USS Enterprise NX-01, commanded by Captain Jonathan Archer.

Enterprise was cancelled in 2005 due to steadily declining ratings and a general fatigue with the Star Trek television franchise at the time. It was the first Star Trek series since The Original Series to be cancelled by its network rather than concluding on its own terms.

The series is notable for featuring a pop-rock theme song called 'Where My Heart Will Take Me,' performed by Russell Watson. This was a major departure from previous Star Trek shows, which all utilized traditional, instrumental orchestral themes.

The show originally aired on the UPN (United Paramount Network) television network from 2001 until its conclusion in 2005. It was the last Star Trek television series to air before the franchise took a long hiatus until Discovery debuted in 2017.
