Sulejów Abbey is a former Cistercian monastery located in central Poland, founded between 1176 and 1177 by Duke Bolesław IV the Curly. The complex is distinguished by its well-preserved Romanesque collegiate church, which features a fortress-like design that served as a refuge during regional conflicts. The abbey was a significant center of economic and political influence in medieval Poland. Following extensive damage during World War II, the ruins were restored and now function as a museum.
