description Swan Bay Overview

Swan Bay is a shallow coastal inlet on the Bellarine Peninsula in Victoria, Australia, near Queenscliff and the entrance to Port Phillip Bay. Its intertidal flats, saltmarsh, and seagrass habitats support waterbirds and other marine life. Swan Bay forms part of the Port Phillip Bay, Western Shoreline and Bellarine Peninsula Ramsar wetland site, which recognizes the ecological importance of the wider coastal area.
