Sweet Sugar is a 1972 American women-in-prison exploitation film directed by Michel Levesque and starring Phyllis Davis as Sugar Bowman. After accepting two years of forced labor instead of a prison sentence for a false drug charge, Sugar is sent to a sugar-cane plantation, where inmates face abusive guards and medical experiments directed by the owner, Dr. John. The plantation chain gang is the film's central setting.
