TD Garden

TD Garden is the home arena for both the NBA's Boston Celtics and the NHL's Boston Bruins. It opened in 1995 as the replacement for the original Boston Garden, which had stood next door since 1928. The venue also hosts major concerts and entertainment events year-round.

The original Boston Garden was demolished in 1998, three years after TD Garden opened directly above its former parking lot. The old arena had hosted the Celtics and Bruins from 1928 through 1995 and was famous for its parquet floor and lack of air conditioning. TD Garden was built as its modern successor.

TD Garden is located at 100 Legends Way in the West End neighborhood of Boston, directly above North Station, a major MBTA transit hub. Fans can reach the arena via the MBTA Green Line and Orange Line, as well as multiple commuter rail lines. Many Amtrak services also stop at North Station beneath the arena.

Yes, TD Garden offers year-round guided tours that include access to areas such as the Bruins and Celtics locker rooms, the press box, and luxury suites. The venue also houses The Sports Museum, which spans multiple levels of the arena and covers Boston sports history. Tours typically run on non-event days.
