The Old Howard

description The Old Howard Overview

The Old Howard was a historic theater in Boston that operated from 1845 until 1953. Originally known as the Howard Athenaeum, it presented several forms of popular entertainment before becoming especially associated with vaudeville and burlesque in the early twentieth century. The venue was later demolished, but it remains part of Boston's theatrical history and the history of American burlesque.
