The Sheepman

description The Sheepman Overview

The Sheepman is a 1958 American Western comedy directed by George Marshall and starring Glenn Ford as Jason Sweet. Sweet wins a flock of sheep in a poker game and takes them into cattle country, where local ranchers challenge his presence and provoke a range conflict. Shirley MacLaine plays Dell Payton, and Leslie Nielsen plays Colonel Stephen Bedford. Screenwriters William Bowers and James Edward Grant received an Academy Award nomination for the original screenplay.
