description The Straw Hat Revue Overview

The Straw Hat Revue was a musical comedy revue that began as a summer-theatre production at Camp Tamiment in Pennsylvania before transferring to Broadway. It opened at the Ambassador Theatre on September 29, 1939, and ran for 75 performances, closing on December 2 of that year. Max Liebman conceived and staged the production, with sketches by Liebman and Samuel Locke and music and lyrics by Sylvia Fine and James Shelton.
