The Uncoupling

description The Uncoupling Overview

The Uncoupling is a 2011 novel by American writer Meg Wolitzer. Set in a New Jersey suburban community, it follows the effects of a high-school production of Aristophanes' Lysistrata after the women of the town unexpectedly lose their sexual desire. The novel uses this modern variation on an ancient comedy to examine relationships, marriage, family life, adolescent experience, and the tensions within a seemingly ordinary community.
