Things Change

description Things Change Overview

Things Change is a 1988 American crime comedy written and directed by David Mamet. Don Ameche plays Gino, a shoeshine man who agrees to accept responsibility for a Mafia killing in exchange for a better life. When mobsters mistake him for an important crime boss, Gino is drawn into criminal negotiations and social situations that he does not understand. The film uses this misunderstanding to combine gangster conventions with a character-driven comedy about class and identity.
