Toyota Vellfire

The Toyota Vellfire and Toyota Alphard are essentially twin models, sharing the same chassis and powertrains, but they feature different styling and are sold through different dealership networks in Japan. The Vellfire has a more aggressive, angular, and sporty exterior design, while the Alphard is generally considered more traditional and elegant in its appearance. Both offer ultra-luxurious interiors.

The Toyota Vellfire is primarily marketed as a spacious luxury minivan offering flexible seating configurations for up to eight passengers. However, its most popular and luxurious configurations feature captain's chairs in the second row, reducing the capacity to seven while providing an executive lounge experience. These middle-row seats often feature power recline and ottoman functions.

Depending on the generation and trim level, the Toyota Vellfire is typically powered by either a 2.5-liter inline-four cylinder engine or a 3.5-liter V6 gasoline engine. Many modern versions also utilize Toyota's Hybrid Synergy Drive system paired with the 2.5-liter engine for improved fuel economy in city driving. These engines are mated to E-CVT or traditional automatic transmissions.
