Trek Domane+ LT

The Trek Domane+ LT is strictly a pedelec, meaning the motor only provides assistance while you are actively pedaling and does not have a throttle. It is equipped with a Fazua motor system that assists up to 25km/h, aligning with European e-bike regulations. Once you hit this speed limit, the motor smoothly disengages to allow for unassisted pedaling.

This e-bike features a Shimano electronic drivetrain, providing incredibly precise and reliable wireless shifting. Riders can switch gears effortlessly under load, which is especially helpful when tackling steep climbs with the pedal-assist engaged. This high-end component choice matches the bike's premium carbon fiber frame construction.

While heavier than a traditional non-assisted road bike, Trek designed the Domane+ LT with a lightweight carbon fiber frame to keep the overall weight as low as possible. The Fazua drive system is also uniquely designed to be removable, allowing you to drop significant weight for standard riding. This makes it one of the more agile e-road bikes on the market.

Because the motor stops assisting at 25km/h, it is not practical for competitive road racing where speeds regularly exceed this limit. However, it is excellent for endurance training, climbing steep gradients, and keeping pace with faster groups on rolling terrain. The UCI also strictly prohibits e-bikes in standard professional road races.
