Tring Mill

description Tring Mill Overview

Tring Mill, also known as Tring Flour Mill or Heygates Mill, is a grain-milling site at Gamnel Wharf in Tring, Hertfordshire, beside the Wendover Arm of the Grand Union Canal. Milling at Gamnel has continued for more than two centuries, and the site was served by wind-powered and steam-powered machinery before later conversion to roller milling and electricity. The mill illustrates the link between canal transport, agriculture, and flour production in the area.
