description Tryfan North Ridge Overview
Tryfan is a 917-meter mountain in the Glyderau range of Eryri, formerly called Snowdonia, in north Wales. The North Ridge is a direct rocky approach involving sustained scrambling, frequent use of the hands, and route-finding across blocks, gullies, and exposed steps. It is intended for experienced hillwalkers and scramblers comfortable with steep terrain, variable weather, and an ascent that is more technical than an ordinary marked trail.
