description Vert.x Overview

Vert.x is an open-source toolkit for building reactive, event-driven applications on the Java Virtual Machine. It uses asynchronous, non-blocking APIs and supports several languages that run on the JVM, including Java, Kotlin, JavaScript, Groovy, Ruby, and Scala. The project was created by Tim Fox and later developed with Red Hat support. It is intended for developers building network services and other concurrent backend systems.
