With a Mind to Kill is a 2022 James Bond continuation novel by Anthony Horowitz, his third contribution to the series following Trigger Mortis (2015) and Forever and a Day (2018). Set after the events of Ian Fleming's The Man with the Golden Gun, the novel sends Bond into the Soviet Union on a mission framed by SMERSH, the fictional Soviet counterintelligence organization that features prominently in Fleming's original novels. Horowitz's continuations are written with the authorisation of the Ian Fleming estate and use period settings rather than updating the character.
