Yamashiro Onsen is a hot spring resort district in the city of Kaga, Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan, on the Sea of Japan coast of Honshū. According to local tradition dating to the 8th century, the Buddhist monk Gyōki discovered the springs after observing a crow healing its wounds in the thermal waters. The area developed into a bathing destination during the Edo period under the Kaga Domain. Yamashiro is one of three districts forming the Kaga Onsenkyō hot spring village, alongside Yamanaka Onsen and Katayamazu Onsen.
