Zeta Persei

description Zeta Persei Overview

Zeta Persei, written ζ Persei in astronomical notation, is a blue supergiant star in the constellation Perseus. It is associated with the young Perseus OB1 stellar association and is visible to the unaided eye from sufficiently dark skies; its high luminosity and massive-star evolution distinguish it from the older, lower-mass stars that make up much of the night sky, while its blue color reflects its hot surface and spectral classification.
