Zoop

Zoop is a fast-paced action-puzzle game originally released in 1995. Instead of falling blocks, players must quickly eliminate differently colored shapes that are constantly advancing toward the center of the grid.

The game was developed by the British studio Hookstone and published by Viacom New Media. It was highly ambitious for its time, launching simultaneously across numerous consoles and computer platforms.

The player controls a stationary marker in the center of the screen that constantly changes color and fires at advancing rows of shapes. If an incoming shape is the same color as your marker, it is eliminated; otherwise, it causes your character to swap colors.
