Why does the Angry Miao AM65 Less replace arrow keys with a touch panel?
Its capacitive thumb panel reproduces four directional inputs while preserving a symmetrical, compact case. Angry Miao says this makes the board about 11 percent smaller than an ordinary 65-percent layout.
Is the AM65 Less actually a 65-percent keyboard?
Not exactly. Angry Miao renamed it AM Compact Touch for the global launch because its 59-key arrangement is smaller than a conventional 65-percent board and does not have dedicated physical arrow keys.
Can switches be changed without soldering on the AM65 Less?
Yes. Its 1.2 mm hot-swap PCB accepts replaceable mechanical switches, and the complete bundles originally included 59 Icy Silver switches and matching keycaps.
