The Terminator: Original Soundtrack

Fiedel primarily used electronic instruments and synthesizers, such as the Roland Juno-60 and the Sequential Circuits Prophet-5, rather than a traditional orchestra. The electronic approach was both a creative choice to represent the machine world and a practical budgetary decision.

The original 1984 soundtrack album was released by Enigma Records. This label also released the soundtracks for other cult and sci-fi films during the 1980s before eventually folding in the early 1990s.
