Colton's Atlas of the World is a nineteenth-century geographical atlas issued by the New York map publisher Joseph Hutchins Colton. The 1855 edition, titled Atlas of the World, Illustrating Physical and Political Geography, brought together maps of the United States, individual states and territories, cities, and other world regions using the boundaries and place names of its period. The atlas is of interest to libraries, map historians, and collectors studying American commercial map publishing and historical geography.
