Fred Spoor is a Dutch paleoanthropologist who serves as a professor at University College London and works with the Natural History Museum in London. He is widely recognized for his research on human evolution, particularly his use of high-resolution computed tomography to analyze fossil hominin skulls. By reconstructing the inner ear and braincase anatomy of extinct human relatives, he has contributed significantly to the understanding of early hominin locomotion and taxonomy. His fieldwork has also included important fossil discoveries in East Africa.
