description Jetboil Flash Overview

Jetboil Flash is a compact camping stove system introduced in the 2000s, notable for rapidly boiling water in an integrated heat-exchanger cooking cup.

help Jetboil Flash FAQ

How quickly does the Jetboil Flash boil water?

The current Flash is designed to boil 0.5 liter of water in about two minutes under favorable conditions. Wind, low temperatures, altitude, and fuel-canister pressure can make a real boil slower.

Can food be cooked directly in a Jetboil Flash?

The Flash is optimized for rapidly boiling water for drinks and dehydrated meals, not controlled simmering. Thick foods can scorch because its concentrated burner and FluxRing cup are less adjustable than the Jetboil MiniMo.

What fuel does the Jetboil Flash use?

It uses threaded isobutane-propane backpacking canisters, including Jetpower fuel. Liquid fuel, alcohol, and the non-threaded Campingaz-style canisters do not connect directly.

Does a fuel canister fit inside the Jetboil Flash cup?

A small 100-gram-class canister can nest inside the one-liter cup with much of the stove hardware. Fuel is sold separately, and the canister must always be removed before the cup is placed over the lit burner.
