Raffles City Chongqing Towers

Raffles City Chongqing is located in the Yuzhong District of Chongqing, China, at the junction of the Yangtze and Jialing rivers. The multi-tower complex was completed in 2019 and was designed by world-renowned architect Moshe Safdie. It serves as a massive mixed-use hub for residential, commercial, and hotel spaces.

The complex features eight skyscrapers connected at height by a massive 300-meter elevated sky bridge called 'The Crystal.' This horizontal structure sits atop four of the towers and serves as a public observation deck, hotel lobby, and garden space. It is one of the most daring architectural feats in modern engineering.

The complex consists of eight skyscrapers, with the taller towers reaching an impressive height of around 250 meters each. The design was inspired by traditional Chinese sailing vessels. The massive scale of the project makes it one of the largest and most recognizable developments in the city.

The ambitious project was designed by Moshe Safdie, the same architect behind Singapore's Marina Bay Sands. Safdie's signature style of combining massive structures with sky gardens and public spaces is heavily featured here. The development was built by CapitaLand, a major Singaporean real estate company.
