Cylindropuntia ramosissima, commonly called diamond cholla or pencil cholla, is a slender, highly branched cactus native to desert regions of the southwestern United States and northwestern Mexico. Its narrow cylindrical stem segments bear conspicuous diamond-shaped tubercles, with relatively sparse spines compared with many other chollas. It grows in dry, rocky or sandy habitat in the Mojave and Sonoran desert regions.
