Not practically — the 16GB of RAM in this configuration is soldered to the motherboard and cannot be upgraded, so buy the memory you need up front. The storage is an M.2 SSD that can technically be swapped, but opening the sealed chassis risks damaging the device and voiding any warranty.

It uses a 12.4-inch PixelSense touchscreen with a 3:2 aspect ratio and 1536x1024 resolution, which favors document work over media consumption. At roughly 2.5 pounds, it is one of the more portable Windows laptops with a full laptop keyboard rather than a detachable design.

Yes — the 12th-gen Intel Core i5-1235U is a 10-core, 12-thread processor that handles Office, browsers, video calls, and heavy multitasking comfortably. It relies on integrated Iris Xe graphics, so it is not a gaming machine beyond light titles.

A refurb can be a solid value if it comes from a Microsoft Authorized Refurbisher with a written warranty and a stated battery-health grade. Microsoft rates the new model at up to about 15 hours of battery life, but a used battery may deliver noticeably less, so confirm the return policy.
