Pandit Shivkumar Sharma - Call of the Valley

The 1967 Indian classical album features a legendary trio of instrumentalists. It prominently showcases Pandit Shivkumar Sharma on the santoor, Hariprasad Chaurasia on the bansuri (flute), and Brij Bhushan Kabra on slide guitar.

The album is a concept record designed to musically depict a day in the life of a Kashmiri shepherd, from dawn until nightfall. Each track corresponds to a different time of day, utilizing specific traditional Indian musical ragas to evoke the changing moods.
